Trials and Temptations while praying and fasting

For many of us who have been joining in Redeeming Love Church's 21 days of prayer and fasting we have found that we are suddenly facing some difficult things in our life. Be encouraged my brothers and sisters this is to be expected. For as we press in to do great things through prayer and fasting the enemy presses against us to try to discourage us before we reach our goals. We know from the story in Mark 9 that Jesus said that some the really difficult things only can happen through prayer and fasting. So be ready to face your trials and temptations but also be ready for God's great rewards.

² My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, ³ knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. ⁴ But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4, New King James Version)
